HE WAS A QUAKER LIVING IN HENRICO CO., VA IN 1699. HE BELONGED TO THE

HENRICO MONTHLY MEETING AT CURLES AND LATER TO THE WHITE OAK SWAMP

MEETING.

APRIL 25, 1702 RECIEVED A LAND GRANT OF 230 ACRES ALONG THE NORTH BANK O F

THE JAMES RIVER AND ON THE WEST SIDE OF FOUR MILE CREEK FROM THE STATE O F

VIRGINA, COUNTY OF HENRICO, FRANCIS NICHOLSON, GOVERNOR.

Nicholas Hutchins was a member of the Curles Meeting of Friends in

Henrico county, Virginia. In 1714 he was elected overseer of the

meeting. His farm lay along the north bank of the James river, about

where Four Mile Creek joins that river, near to Curles, about twelve

miles SE of Richmond.
