Notes: Confirmation on whether this James Christian is the James Christian tha t married Katherine Wood in Green Co., MO., on September 10, 1846 needs t o be proven. In the 1850 census for Wright Co., MO., he was not listed in the household with his parents. However, he was listed with them in the 1860 census. If he married, it appears he never married again. He purchased land in 1854 and 1858, Wright Co., MO. He served as a Confederate in the Civil War, Company D, 3rd Missouri Cavalry --- the same Company as his brothers Obed, William, and Vanburen. The 1870 and 1880 census for McLennan Co., Texas shows him as living with his brothe r, William. Also, in the household is Elizabeth, wife of Andrew Wammack, n ow deceased. Her children are, also, listed. William is the only one left i n 1900, and has re-married to "Aunt" Bash Smith.
